IG was established in 1974 as the world’s first spread betting firm, and is now a global leader in online trading and the winner of multiple awards.
We provide services to clients worldwide, and have offices in 17 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and the US. Our head office is in the City of London.
Our range of products
The majority of our global revenue comes from our well-established derivative products: contracts for difference (CFDs) and, in the UK and Ireland, financial spread betting. An increasing proportion of revenue is now generated by binaries trading, including our US retail derivatives exchange, Nadex. In 2014 we introduced execution-only stockbroking in the UK and Ireland, later rolling it out to the Netherlands and Germany.
